Oda Jaune is back at Galerie Templon in Paris this autumn with an unmissable brand-new series of oil paintings. The Bulgarian-born artist has been living and working in Paris since 2008, and will be presenting "Beyond Gravity" at Templon's space on 30 Rue Beaubourg. The exhibition will be running from the 26th October until the 21st December 2019, with the opening at 12pm on the 26th October.

What is it that underpins human freedom? Why do humans keep striving to surpass themselves? Why are they never satisfied with what they are? Oda Jaune gives these questions flesh in her new series of works, as she observes the human being, a creature constantly seeking to push the body's biological and physical boundaries further, willing to experiment with everything and anything even at the risk of their own life and the life of the planet. The artist, focusing on her figures, creates works with no predefined orientation so they can be hung any way up, as though unbound by gravity.
